Silver nanoparticles produced by green methods contain antioxidants and have low toxicity against human cells. A recent study has shown that Cytotoxicity assays of the different silver compositions:

• The synthesis of the nanoparticles revealed that Ag+ was cytotoxic

• Phenolic compounds are not cytotoxic. Moreover, the plant extract induced low cell proliferation compared to untreated cells(Essafi Rhouma et al., 2021).

• Ag nanoparticles in the presence of phenolic compounds have shown protective importance in the context of AgNP production for medicinal applications with low cytotoxicity(Mussin et al., 2021).
